Martin recommended me G12T-100s, 'neutral but rich with good power handling' he said.

I'll build you some with fallout from chernobyl for drivers, and a voice coil made from pulped demons skin.

Now youre just being silly. Chernobles fallout is low grade russian cr@p; you want the fission product straight from a PBMR, and demons? Your $%&#ing mental. You'll never catch one.

Devil man!
Kind of like an EVM sound, with British flavour. Tight lows, quite middy, and the highs are just a dream after the G12T

Can't compare to the G12K though, wondering what the difference is...
Maybe a bit brighter, then also bigger magnet, higher sensitivity and a fan.

soz about the demons.

i never really thought G12T's sounded that bad. out of all the cabs ive played, it was common jcm900 marshall 4x12's (although kind of stock and not really thought of "ones to have") that i kept going back to. maybe its was just what i was most used to. my cab sounds better now (much better) with the X pattern. v30s and g12ts is a proven mix though i guess. though whether its done for its musical or economic value is something i don't know. its not much of a 'heavier' sound with that mix though. When it comes to heavy, id listen to roo.

Woo!

That's a first :D

I must say, I LOVE the G12K-100s mixed with EVM12L-black labels. They cost an arm and a leg, though. In those recordings I put up recently, the EVM12L black on the top row was the one miked up, and I'm really happy with the sound it gives, especially at gigging volumes. It's quite a neutral speaker, but its bass handling is unsurpassed, and it really allows the tone from your guitar and pedals to shine through, I find. Not too much colouration.

So, if money is no object, that's my recommendation :)
Otherwise, get 2 more G12Ks, or possibly stick a couple of V30s in there - but I'd want to try this out myself before buying them!!

agree with Roo that EV12L has unsurpassed bass handling, though I assume I am using the classic ones, rather than the black labels. really like mine. haven't chipped in so far, since i'm not really playing br00talz
