the HD is the most open sounding and the clearest model on the contemporary line

Hey Sith Eric, isn't the CS the clearest in the contemporary line, while the NB will be the most open one ?

Of course, that's just a question, not a contradiction !

the CS is the crunchiest (the warpig and miracle man have some kind of 'grind' instead of crunch, the painkiller has a stronger and also crunchy midrange, but still cleaner), not the clearest
never played the nailbomb, but sounds like a more hairy/grindy and more focused holy diver
the holy diver midrange is fat, but VERY clean (which can explain why dheim found it 'scooped'), not really compressed
that works really well for detailed open chords/notes separation
that might cause an impression of "hollow' mids through distortion, but it's very middy, and they are very noticeable on the clean tones
