i get the credit for all the little design tweaks that no bugger except me and dave will ever notice :)

Wez, quite rightly, should take all the credit for the tummy cut, neck heel scultping, scratchplate logo etc.

Is it a very subtle version of the Suhr/Warmoth style contoured heel?  I wasn't quite sure from the photos.

yeah, dave didnt want to take away from the teleness by adding to many contours and originally it wasnt going to have any.  so the aim was to keep it subtle but just make the natural back slightly more organic because i like guitars with flowing contours.  For the tummy cut i wanted it to just seem like an increased roundover in that area rather than  a massive shark bite

in the end i think its just about right, still a slab bodied guitar - but just that bit comfier

we also softened the front edge with a slight roundover which takes away the digging in that can happen on top bound tele's with very square edges

i also contributed with the gretsch style knobs and perspex idea for the scratch plate - like i say, all silly things that are not obvious till its in your hands

Yep, you did Wez - I forgot the knobs and the scratchplate!  The point I was making - rather badly I admit - is that it was a real joint effort, and I think it's come out superbly  :D

I just want to play the damn thing now!!!

as long as you bring me some money i promise not to spit in your tea ;)   the whole point of going custom is to get something distinctly yours so it really is best if you think of it that way...  but its mine too!!

It is fecking gorgeous!

And inspirational.........

Ideas are popping up in my head like:  a thinline version with dual Filters and a Bigsby? Or a baritone?
Anyway, I'm curious what you have cooking, Wez.

we did discuss a bigsby, and i do think it could really work with the design (infact i know it could because i placed the bigsby palm pedal on the other day).

it would take away from the simplicity though.  at the moment its understated and spangly, which is a hard balance to achieve

That's what's cool about Teles. You can make 'em simple or fully loaded.

When I did my CV Esquire, I went for simplicity and visual impact with the pin stripes. The stripes pop but aren't over done. I think I got the balance right.

Before that I had the idea of adding a Bigsby and a Filtertron or DeArmond in the  neck. That would have been cool too in a whole other way.

A sparkly thinline with dual filters and a Bigsby would be like a cross between a Tele and a Sparkle Jet.

You have the platform. You can make it into a Duece roadster hot rod or a '59 Cadillac.

BTW, I dig this too.
