Well brace yourself for the barrage of people shouting.. "it's not a real Floyd Rose" &  "all BC Rich apart from custom shop are cr@p made for Kerry King fan boys"

Well BC Rich HAVE produced some rubbish (Class Axe) and the name does not assure Bernie Rico quality but they can and do produce / licence some very good guitars that scratch a very specific itch.

I wanted a Gunslinger since I was 14 and finally when BC Rich reissued the Retro, I got one.

It is a great guitar, wire and CNC'ed wood, a Dimarzio Super Distortion and an Asian OFR Floyd (ping) that feels a little different to a German but stays in perfect tune just the same.

It may be a Cort/Samick factory product but it is faultless on quality control.

It was an absolute bargain and though it is not Gold Snakeskin from the custom shop it is exactly what I wanted.

I love it and I play it alot...

Go for it... (unless you want this custom from Peter Cooks @ £2499.00)

I'm not much of a metaller, but I like that.  Lovely finish, the red with the neck-through stripes.

thats what I'm talking about  8)

there are some older Rico ones floating about on the US ebay - will be keeping my eye out for something suitable.

oh, btw, I'll be selling my Epi Korina Explorer (with EMGs) to help with the GAS fund.  its a cracking guitar, just doesn't feel right strapped-on, though is excellent for playing at home (where I use it all the time).  its a great player and sounds fat as hell, just can't get used to the way it hangs on a strap.

Likewise.  I've said many times I love the Mockingbird shape, but you so rarely see them "in the flesh" and I just wouldn't buy blind without at least knowing what the neck's like.  So I suspect they'll only ever be GAS-objects for me.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds

I'd love a mockingbird exotic classic in natural finish. just a dead classy guitar that could be used for anything. Unfortunately I already have two double humbuckered, fixed bridge Gibsons at home...

...$%&# it, i'll get one someday.

I've always wanted that particular model of MB. The only problem is.... I swear it used to be £375 from Dolphin. It seems to have nearly doubled in price post-credit crunch :(
