great answer...but i want put a fernandes sustainer in the neck(yes,i'm matt bellamy fan too lol)...so i can't really choose between the mq and the nailbomb

As far as I know you can get a sustainer system to throw in with any pickups. So it's possible to have a sustainer and two BKPs. I also think that Bellamy uses Mississippi Queens in most of his guitars and only one or two has the Nailbomb/Mississippi Queen combo. I might be wrong though...

Recently there was a pickup thread where a guy wanted a Bellamy setup as well and he found a link to a site that was quite detailed about Bellamy's guitars.

the pig90 is ah high output beast... i've got one in neck position and it's thick and hot as hell... quite dark. i've got no personal experience about the pig90 in bridge position but i IMAGINE it has got a killer tone too...
as regards the second part of your question i think you haven't got it well...  :P pig90 is an overwound p90. you can get p90s in p90 housing OR in humbucker size. that's the MQ.
so a nailbomb sized as a MQ is substantially a nailbomb...
if you meant if it's possible to have an MQ wound to match a nailbomb in output, why not? just ask Tim, he'll do it for you.

i was thinking about a p90ish nailbomb hehe...but yeh...a mq with the nailbomb output should  be coll..about the matt bellamy setup,i don't think it's possible to keep two bkp and have a sustainer too....look at the musewiki site...in the gear-manson guitar page...he has two or three guitars with sustainer and he has the nailbomb in the bridge...

I'm quite sure i visited a website a week ago where you could by a sustainer kit to throw in your guitar and not needing a special pickup. I have just looked for it, but couldn't find it  :?

I might be wrong on the nailbomb issue  :)

i don't think you're right... i looked for something like that for AGES and i realized it simply can't be done.

I'm almost 100% possitive that a saw a website where they sold the sustainer system and said that now you didn't need any specail pickups, but could have it work in any guitar. But maybe I got it all wrong (like the Nailbombs )

it would be great but 1) i couldn't find any trace of this system on fernandes website 2) i'm not sure of what could happer to a regular neck pickup when used as a driver, with current flowing through it... wanna try on some BKP? :)

Are you sure that is a fernandes sustainer? maybe a sustainiac or a e-bow...but they are different

It wasn't an E-bow for sure. I remember a picture of the electronic parts and some writing that went like: Now you can experience the sustainer without buying a pickup. You can just buy the electronics.

Well like I said earlier. I might be mistaken. Seems very odd that I can't find the website again.
