I live here: Lake-Tahoe Reno, NV USA
« on: November 28, 2009, 12:36:37 AM »
I noticed some comments about where I live so I thought some photographs might be of interest, especially for the many Bare Knuckle Forum folks who live outside the United States.

Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada are truly amazing  and if you love the outdoors it is heave. Y ear round it blows my mind. I live half way between the Lake and Reno and 12 minutes from ski lifts.  I truly am fortunate to live here, having moved to this region about December 2003.

That looks beautiful.  Great pictures.

It's nice to see the beautiful side of the State - quite often in the UK we're bombarded by images like The Wire, and miss some of the great things there.  My siste and brother in law are moving to South Dakota i a few months, so I hope to make it over there soon for some exploring.

Yeah sure, it looks nice and all but I bet it's miles from the nearest supermarket.

And with all that snow it must be hard to get to the office in winter.
I see a rainbow rising
Look there on the horizon
And I'm coming home

How on earth do you find time to play guitar with all that beautiful nature at hand?

I must say you're one lucky guy living at such a beautiful place. If I ever visit the States I'll write Lake Tahoe on my list of places to go.

It seems like you get the best of both worlds: Warm and sunny summers - winters with lots of snow.

How long is the skiing season?

since your post starts with a snowy pic my first thought was "it's well to cold for shredding!"

you got good taste in location as half your pictures look like my desktop wallpaper collection!

Likewise I'd love to show the pics to my other half but I know it would just end in tears.
