Black Label Society,in Detroit!
« on: November 15, 2005, 08:44:09 AM »
I seen BLS last week.Holy.......shite!The Wylde one,had not a drop to drink!I think he's straitening his shite up with the booze, yeah,he looked healthy too.His face isn't bloodshot like it usually is.The sex was actually very versitel. He brought out the piano for spoke in tha wheeeeel, and the dime tribute, and the whole band seemed really focused.I have seen BLS many times, but i have never seen them this good, and in such a concentration mode.I was worryed that is would be the same alcohol drenched night.Nope.My man got sober!!!Has anyone ever notice that when you poison your mind like that, you tend not to give a shite about tasks at hand, everyone else knows!Looks like he lost some of that gut too!The whole band really really shined.Half of the solo is different too! They have some new gear out too.Sweet.He also played the shite out of the pokadot guitar. It was definately worth the money.Hey,if he ever gets kicked out of Ozzy,Dude,Tim,you should fill the gap!You could totally too!
Go check em out if they come around your town!Even if you have to drive 3 hrs one way,you will definately hear a huge difference in playing and attitude. They Filmed their DVD here in detroit,at Harpo's,I was there<and im telling you ,this time around is better!Really
                     Peace out!
P.S. I didnt say shite about a little green attitude modification remedys!I'll take that over booze anyday!!!!!!!!!!Wade

Looks like it was a great show then. Playing sober works better. I usually have a couple of beers to loosen up and get over my nerves. (Two beers will allow you to concentrate better, after that it gets worse) If you still think you can play like God when you're totally pissed, record your gig and listen to it the next day.

I'm glad to see that Zakk pulled himself together. Rock on!

IMO he needed to straighten out, he was starting to burn himself out with all the boozing.

Sounds like a cracking gig.

Sounds positive. I was talking to the lads in my local shop about Zakk a while back and one of them knows Jan Cryka who writes for Guitarist as he lives near the shop, who was saying he sunk a while crate of beers in a few hours at his house when they filmed him for the magazine CD and took the rest back to his hotel!

Any news on Zakk using Miracle Man BKP's? There was a rumour that he was going to try them out.  8)

Well, the "pub"?he played at when he recorded bruised, boozed and broken, was filmed here in detroit(harpo's),and is a real nasty area of the city, but more friendly to aproach him-the meet and greet, this time around,he played The "State Theater",in downtown Detroit, which has really high security.I was at stage front, and was able to give Nick(E.T.)2 stickers from bareknuckle, and my Army Green Bkp t-shirt.He took 3 steeps away, and turned back around and asked where this company was from.I showed him the info, which was already there?,and we talked a little while longer, which he later explained to me that they are under contract with Emg,which pays Zakk nicely,to use their product!Heres the funny part-Zakk is looking for replacement pickups for his flying pokadot V's.Nick also said that Emg has questioned them as to their Mofia release, because of the sonic differences between the albums.Suposidly they blamed ot on the new effects they used, with a grin.Thats the least i could do,as Tim has helped me,in desperate times when Our studio got caught on fire, and fried almost all my equipment, leaving me with nothing, literally! He sent me a sonic dementor,to cheer my spirits, which will be with me FOREVER!-Grace to you Brother, along with some Great teachiing tools, and ideas!Yeah,i know,,,i still owe a Calibrated WarPIg clip too!!!I'm gettin to it!!

As is our friendship, across the globe!I have been saving that t-shirt for almost 2 yrs!My initial thought was to have it signed by the band, and have it wrote out to Tims son, wylde,as i thought that would be Awsome!I got caught in the moment of conversation, and actually,i really didn't think, i just gave it to Nick. The message has been sent! You guys are great business men,as well as people, and deserve recognition!BKP Should give classes on customer service, and respect!

Can you post soundclips on that forum? Or some links could do the trick.

Post all the Zakk clips we did with the Miracle Man, Warpig etc.

I dont think its a good idea to go onto other peoples forums and pushing our product, if people want to try them they will come to us.

But Steve! It wouldn't be product pushing - it would be reccommendations from satisfied customers! it'd be helping them out! (and possibly helping you out too)

I think Mr Pig doesn't want us to push the product too hard. Push too hard and people push back. Shout too loud and people will put their fingers in their ears. There were reports of something similar happening a while ago.

A subtle hint wouldn't be bad IMO.

Something like: "Hi, I'm new to the forum blablabla...big fan blabla...here's a little Zakk clip I made."

Reply: "Hey, sounds good. What are you using?"

etc.
