Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten...... erm how long does it take to forget $25,882?
Still want one

love it...you know it's wrong & should be despised, but you still want a go on it.

I quite like the ideas of the Page guitars, there's the LPC with a 6 way switch and then

4 grand for the relic job and 10 grand for a signature.

Another guitar for people with more money than brains.

the tuners are the wrong color !

How so? The originals were swapped out for grovers on both the bursts a long time ago as far as I remember.

However the bridge pickup is the wrong colour. I seem to recall it being white, or cream and not black.

They couldn't use cream as DiMarzio has the patent  ;)

look here... http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/article/3301-coming-soon-the-gibson-jimmy-page-les-paul-2.html

#1 is the bust with the redish colouring, while #2 is the one with the darker (brown) burst.

#1 has the exposed creme bridge humbucker, while #2 (presumably) had the black bridge pickup.

Yeah I'd read as much. Only in America...

However I'd have to ask, DiMarzio started way after Seth Lover and Gibson started making the PAFs and I also believe there are black and white bobbins out there on those guitars, so how does that work?

So does every single pickup manufacturer have to pay DiMarzio a license fee each time they sell a creme coloured pickup?

hmmmmmmm...............................

seems to be a decent LP that's been quadrupled price-wise for the name and you'd still probably have to put BK's in it to get the best tone...who would made such a goofus guitar? Oh wait...its Gibson  :P

They've both have white bridge pups at different points in their lives apparently. #1 has a black pickup in it now?

Off the point slightly but I dug up this link with loads of pictures of him and some of his gear - http://s344.photobucket.com/albums/p343/brandonleechambers/jimmy%20page/?start=all

I think #1 has gold grovers and #2 silver.

I'm going to climb back into my saddo box now.
