stay away from Pigtail, heard lots of horror stories about people ordering, never getting anything and the guy wouldn't respond to emails.

:( i have a bridge on order from pigtail at the moment

Unfortunately Steve Rowen, the guy who ran Pigtail, died last September.

I got the impression it was pretty much a one-man business - I don't know if anyone else has taken it over.  The website hasn't been updated, so I suspect the business is kaput.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

I never knew he'd passed away.  Regardless, the problems with fulfilling orders was raised on the LPF as long as two or three years back.

Go with Fake58 - I'm eyeing up some of their aged LP tuners.

Faber have some cool "improved vintage" parts, a different approach to the same sort of thing TonePros do (although I'm still waiting for the wraparound bridge I ordered 6 weeks ago  :( ).

And Callaham now make a solid steel tune-o-matic which looks interesting.

its an intonatable wraparound that will look the part on something like a firebird I he is after - i recommended the pigtail becase it would be perfect for that.

Yeah, but this is for Dave's SG with a tune-o-matic and stop tailpiece.  And as mentioned above, the problem with Pigtail stuff is getting hold of it.

C'mon Wez man, read the thread!

Yup HTH, Don't give business to a dead guy or expect him to reply to email generally seems like good advice

Decent new stuff - I'm not paying for old cr@p!

I think TonePros everything should do the trick?  Tuners, ABR-1 bridge and posts, plus a tailpiece and posts.

Or what about Pigtail?  Any other makes I should look at?

DMC and Fake58 - stay away from Pigtail, heard lots of horror stories about people ordering, never getting anything and the guy wouldn't respond to emails.

I've personally dealt with Fake58 and they were very fast in getting the goods out (AND they're a UK company).

+1 on Fake58.  I've bought a couple of Fendery bits from them and they've always been great.

Ah, OK, misunderstood.  All gwEm had said was that he'd ordered a Pigtail, I didn't realise you were referring to that, since it was several posts later.

I guess he'll have to wait now to see if anyone is still dealing with Pigtail's orders.  :?

The WV got a run out at a gig a couple of weeks ago Wez - she was cracking as usual!  That's the trouble with having so much good stuff - I can never decide what to take to a gig, so I try and rotate them!

Did you pay by PayPal?  Maybe some kind of buyer protection applies?

Or maybe someone is keeping the business going - to at least sell off any remaining stock - in which case I apologise for scaremongering.  Fingers crossed for you.
