I guess he'll have to wait now to see if anyone is still dealing with Pigtail's orders.  :?
:? ineed

Gulp..... I ordered a set of Tele saddles from Pigtail last week  :(

Did you pay by PayPal?  Maybe some kind of buyer protection applies?

Or maybe someone is keeping the business going - to at least sell off any remaining stock - in which case I apologise for scaremongering.  Fingers crossed for you.

Emailed Pigtail saying I had just realised that Steve Rowan had passed away and wondered if the company was still trading. Got  this reply back..."Yes, my beloved husband and best friend died in the fall. I am continuing the business. We shipped out your order this week.

Pam Rowen"

So looks like I'll get my tele saddles

That's good news!

Well Philly sort of good news and bad news....................

Good news.....it arrived after 4 weeks with no customs duty but VAT

Bad News ......... Royal Mail wanted £8 handling fee (box size of a VHS cassette, half the weight)

Very Bad News:-  Look at the size of the threaded screw holes against the brass saddle  PDT_021

Am waiting for a response from Pigtail - tried screws from three tele bridges, not surprisingly all were much smaller.

So they supply the saddles without intonation screws?  That's bizarre.  They say "with screws" on the website.  :?

The VAT/Royal Mail charges are just a fact of life, unfortunately.  Especially with exchange rates as they are now.  :(

Ah, OK, misunderstood.  All gwEm had said was that he'd ordered a Pigtail, I didn't realise you were referring to that, since it was several posts later.

I guess he'll have to wait now to see if anyone is still dealing with Pigtail's orders.  :?

pigtail order arrived! it took about a month longer than expected, but the bridge is great quality. seems his wife is definately starting to gear up to deal with the old orders.
