Back in the 80s, the convention was "BSc", only add the "Hons" in education.
So a teacher or lecturer putting Fred Bloggs BSc Hons was cool.
Someone in another profession, even with an honours degree, should only put Fred Bloggs BSc.
But, whether that still applies (or whether the Uni lecturer advising us was talking bullsh1t!!) I have no idea.
And after the first couple of months, the sense of achievement and seeing your name with initials kind of wears off anyway!
My CV says BSc after my name because that's all I've got. I would, however, probably stick Hons after it if I had it, even though I'm not in education.
So, not tw@tty on a CV.
I wouldn't put any initials on my name on covering letters though - you probably could, still maintaining a low coefficient of tw@ttiness, I just wouldn't bother myself.
