Yup. Both Janick and Dave use the SC sized humbuckers.

From what I remember, Dave uses a set of Hot Rails and Janick uses combinations of Hot Rails and JB Jrs in his Strats :)

ooh I thought of another one. Found my John 5 cd! Shredding like that on a telecaster! Sugar Foot Rag is just amazing. I dunno if its a cover or not though, either way it shreds!

Yeah but don't forget that his Tele sig has a 12" fretboard, much like an Ibanez for example. And so is the Kotzen Tele sig.
But i'm pretty sur this guys play like that on standard Tele as well  :roll:

Malmsteen with an 335, there was a video of him on the internet playing some blues 'shred'. Sounded pretty good and the difference in guitar didn't hinder him.

Dimebag (r.i.p) when he played his Washburn Culprit. Just looked wierd on him
