well, Kaka use the elbow on his ribs, Luís Fabiano choke on someones back and falling saying he was kicked... Kaka had to be sent off on the 1st yellow card, he gave a lot of "push back" on 2 or 3 guys... he was lucky too, I would totally punch him on the face if he did that to me...

I don't know what is the biggest shame: Luís Fabiano putting the hand at the ball twice to score the goal or every brazilian that said Thierry Henry was a cr@p for doing it is taking LF as god now...

The biggest shame was Keita running into Kaka then falling on the floor clutching his face, to get the poor bloke sent off!

The Andrex Cup. Soft and unnecessarily expensive.

Our school is closing early so the kids can rush home and watch Englad get utterly pumped by some Algerians. I'll be popping down into town to annoy the tattooist instead. I'll back England when they play, but they have been utterly dreadful so far.

Did someone say Algerians? That was last weekend! Slovenia tomorrow and I suspect we'll get a pile of tosh that results in a 1-1 draw (I've predicted both of our results so far).
I think I hate being indecisive.

In which case England go out, I think?

That's correct Philly. If it is a draw it needs to be a high scoring draw. Basically if we finish level on points with USA we need to have scored 2 more goals than however many they score tomorrow - and that only gets us into a 'lucky dip' process on the assumption that they finish with a draw and on the same number of points as us!

Don't win and England are as good as out.

It's almost too painful to watch them when they're so spineless and lacking in confidence. I'm not building my hopes up. If they get through to the next round playing the way they have, Slovenia would have to be seriously shitee. They will go at England with everything they've got, as they will treat this game as their world cup final.

As it happens, I'm gigging on the first AND second England games which, knowing England, may well leave me with only one other match to watch them in.

Might also leave you with a depleted audience?

the turnouts were ok as it happens - one of them was a biker bash near Carlisle out in the middle of nowhere.

I think we'll see a different attitude from the England players today - we do occasionally (or maybe that should be typically) get lack lustre performances from England, but their next game sees them going out all guns blazing.

I predict 3-1 this afternoon... Crouch (hopefully he will get a game), Gerard, Rooney

Yes you're right, a lot of teams have slow starts, even the champs.

Lets hope your right about the 3-1!

Come on England!  :D

Capello must be idiot... He took out Rooney, the best player on 2nd half to put a midfielder, losing all the power of attack of the team, then he takes out DeFoe and puts Heskey !!!!! :? WTF?? This guy wouldn't make a goal even if Jesus Christ hold his leg and try to make him kick right...

But was a good play from England, finally :)

Rooney could barely walk by the time he came off. He hadn't been 100% for 3 games, and that really tells in high level sport. Publicly they said he was fit but clearly that wasn't the case. There's no point having even a world class striker on if they're not mobile. Particularly when you don't need a goal...

You guys were needing it, Eslovenia almost scored their goal and England would be OUT of WC ;)
He should have put Peter Crouch instead... and perhaps the 2nd substitution take out DaFoe and put Joe Cole... Would keep the lead on the game with chances of make a goal....

I thought Rooney looked over weight as well as struggling to hit the goal. Leave Shrek on the bench for the next match. Good to see a Spurs striker saving the nations bacon!  :D
