What string brand do you guys use?

I use D'Addario .010 - .046 for my six and .010 - .059 for my sevens. I do have a set of Blue Steels on the six and a set of .010 - .060 DR Hi Beams for my sevens I'm going to try.

Currently using Newtone 14-80 on my 6-string multiscale baritone (26-28.5" scale lengths I think...). I think I prefer the feel of D'Addarios, but I must say the Newtones do sound quite good. The D'Addarios handle drop E (E-E-A-D-F#-B) a bit better. Still have a few packs of Newtones left though, I've not changed strings for months and you have to multibuy custom sets!

Ernie Ball Regular Slinky on everything (and .66s for the low B on my 7 if I recall). I'm told EBs have more tension than any other set with the same gauge in the same tuning.

That's a big jump from the 46 on the E, does it not feel unbalanced?

I play from drop C to E Standard and I use 11-54 on my Gibson scale guitars. I don't own anything else.

C in 25.5 and b on the Les Paul. Using the thicker cored Newtones on all the wound strings, too (with a wound G).

I don't have a guitar in standard tuning anymore, but I used to play with 12s in E. So I'm a high tension chap anyway.

D'addario 11-48 standard tuning, I use 10-46 on a particular strat of mine which seems to have higher than usual string tension.

Used to use Feline strings, but the low 50 was a bit thick for me - good for Drop-D though!

I've used Ernie Balls since about 1985, never even considered changing brand. Most of the strats have 10 to 46, tele has 11 to 52 and the HSS strat is 9 to 42 and everything's in standard tuning.

I did try the 12 gauge set but the G string was just dull and "plunky" - I think that set needs a wound G with a thinner core, for some reason the thick unwound string doesn't work for me.

Yep I'm firmly in the camp of wound Gs once you get above a 17/18 or so, otherwise they just sound like arse.
