BKP Mule Neck Overdriven clip
« on: November 06, 2010, 11:49:21 AM »
Solo is a BKP Mule (neck pickup) and overdriven chords played using my BKP Mule (bridge pickup) both fitted to my PRS McCarty played through a Blackstar valve Amp and recorded via a Tascam interface. No effects except overdrive which was provided by the Amp.

Cheers

Cheers, unfortunately I seem to be having a bit of a technical problem as the uploaded version on the forum is very quiet -, I've increased  the volume on the recording but still crash and burned when it comes to the uploaded version  - oh well practise makes perfect ....... .

Yeah, the forum is Hard To Handle :)

The solo isn't loud and clear enough, and it's panned right too much. Did you cut some of the highs?

Thanks for your reply although I have to say the mix sounds about right to me ... Cut some highs ? A little on the guitar but mainly its the tone of the neck pickup - thats what it sounds like.

It depends on the system used for mixing. I've just given it another listen through my laptop speakers and it sounds good indeed. I previously listened through my headphones, which is weird, because they are usually too bright.

Thanks for the recording, mate ;) What gear did you use?

Yep sure the type of speakers makes a big difference. It was recorded using a tascam interface and Cubebase recording softwear
