Pickup for alder body, maple neck, rosewood board.
« on: November 11, 2010, 11:55:37 AM »
Hi, I've decided to resurrect my very first guitar with some bareknuckle TLC. It's bascially a pacifica model but with a humbucker at the bridge (H-S-H). It's gonna be a back up/workhorse/no nonsense affair so the plan is to get a nice tight, punchy bridge pickup mainly for modern punk rock distortion powerchords/riffs (preferably no scooped mids). I'm going to wire it straight to the output so I don't have to worry about pots and caps :)

I'll be running it through a randall or mes boogie rec to give you an idea of the distortion i use. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hey
I think the Nailbomb would work rather well for that  :)

Cool, thanks. Do you know if i'll need the 50mm or the 53mm? Here's a link to the guitar if it's any help.

For Tremolos usually 53mm is the right spacing. Best way to make sure is to simply measure the space between both E strings.
