I've wanted to get my hands on Philly's  wood for a long time but it looks as if Johnny has beaten me to it..

I know he doesn't take his wood out and handle it very often, it is well seasoned so will only improve the older it gets.. so long as it doesn't warp.  :?

I'm just trying to imagine how Philly would invite someone to his place. Something like "Do you want to come and see my spare parts" could be taken the wrong way  :o

Is it any wonder I'm single?  :(

That's what it's like at my age.  Willing..... but rarely Ready and barely Able.

All I can do is keep it well preserved and hope I find a use for it eventually.....

These are only taken and uploaded from my iPhone. I'm still waiting for my new broadband provider to connect me so I can't upload some nicer pics.
It plays and sounds lovely. I'm well pleased with it. It's nice and ligh too.

Excellent!  So what have you got there - Wilkinson bridge?  Modern Fender tuners?  I'm intrigued that you went for the Earvana nut.

Christ that's shiny! You could always use the back as a mirror if you need to by the looks of it.

Interesting to see how far back the saddle on that is for the low E when compared to a normal 3 saddle tele bridge.
There are 10 kinds of people who understand binary.
Those who do and those who do not.

I had Sperzels put on it and the Earvana the same as my Feline Lion. I like them so I thought why not go with those again.
You can get some great tones with the 4 way switch. I'm pleased as punch with it. The necks very comfortable and has nice large frets which I'm used to.
Yes Philly I got a Wilkinson bridge. It's very stable tuning wise with the Sperzels too.

That is a very foxy looking Tele you have there.  Very handy for blinding an audience with reflected stage lighting too I should imagine!

We fitted sperzel locking tuners which are very stable and speed up restringing

The Earvana, as Johnny said sweetens the tuning and really brings out the beat in a tele (Ask Elliot - his Baja tele was fab after we fitted one)

We chose the Wilkinson bridge because the 3 brass saddles are great for tone , but we needed the twisting saddles to get the full benefit of the Earvana intonation wise

The saddles unlock with an allen Key and twist into the desired position and then lock in place - we have found this bridge to be one of the best we have ever found and use it quite often

The nut looks very tidy!   :D

I know that's not the actual headstock in the first pic, but Sperzels hide the pin holes on a Fender headstock quite neatly.

The shelf nut versions of the Earvana are a lot more pleasing on the eye
Here is the Gibson one - shown on the red Lion we have for sale (the slightly Buckethead inspired one with out inlays)
