i agree gwem, i see potential in the design... i am usually alone!

i'm not sure the headstock is quite right, though it does fit with the crow idea it might need some tweaks. the body is really interesting looking, and alot more adventurous than a strat shape. i had a look to see if anyone is making aftermarket corvus bodies, but didn't find any. as you know, i'm interested in the idea of a more interesting looking and warmer sounding strat coil guitar. i wonder how it would sound made of mahogany (or korina like the fireman) and with a set neck.

i remember once you were talking about some mockups you did of a headless corvus design, that would be cool, but i also think it works as a conventional headed guitar.

i read they have swimming pool routs, which is a shame on the one hand, but cool on the other (since then any corvus can be made into a corvus 3). i might look out for one secondhand.. they either seem to go for really cheap or ridiculously expensive. i'd rather play one than a strat definitely!

edit: a musiclander headstock may work

i have a few updated corvus ideas - including a bowable fretless bass

JJ, that thing is really unsettling. It's definably gross, but at the same time it's worse than the sum of it's parts. That "guitar" makes my insides angry.

Ahh man you guys suck  I quite like some of the guitars in this thread. The So Cal Strat and the sword ESP are some of my favourites.

I'll give you the so-cal strat, I like it.

I would nominate this as most disturbing guitar if it weren't for the mannequin featured earlier.

It looks like that's a Charvel Model 6 that's painted on. Do get a prize? If so I hope it's not calamari...

I was going to mention the Corvus, but my mind was taken away from it by the fat Russell Brand (I might see if he's ot a website and email him that pic).

There's a website around just for ugly guitars, but I lost the link when my last computer died.
Advice worth what you just paid for it.

I don't need to go hunting for any tele pictures, you all know I'm right!

I saw Roger Daltry playing one of Jools' Hootenanny this year. It both sounded and looked awful. Truly, truly awful.
