Where to get Agiles in Europe?
« on: May 01, 2011, 02:00:49 AM »
I'm in the market for a 7 string and the Interceptor 727 got my attention.
My first intention was to get a Loomis FR and go from there, but i'd have to order one and they aren't that cheap to begin with.
The rest don't really have the specs i'm after, then i remembered agile make some good bang for the buck guitars, so i'd really appreciate any info you guys could give me.

thanks

As far as I know there is no retailer in Europe at all! I think theres just the american guys who do them on evilbay

Its best to order them direct from Rondo music or if you can get someone in the US to order one to there address and send it on to you that way you can more than likely avoid any duty charges.

yyeah, stayed up last night .. or this morning till 4am, looking for ways to get it over :P

i doubt i can get away with customs if i get it shipped to my address. only way if someone smuggles it over in their luggage, since i doubt anyone can, it's postponed for now..

thanks anyway

It's only £440 for a decent Agile LP.

I got my Septor Pro recently, £440 delivered and so far no Customs charges. Although I have heard stories of people thinking they are in the clear and then a bill comes through a couple of weeks later.   :?

well.. over here you have to pay the customs charges up front. once it's at your door, you're in the clear.
since the interceptor pro is about 460€ plus a case and shipping, which add up to about 150€ and then VAT + customs charges on top of that, i can't really afford it at the moment, with me living and all that fancy stuff like food :D

Not that I'm suggesting it's a good idea, but if you get it shipped as a present (purchased in the US) then I don't think they can apply the taxes.

Saying that though, the tax man is the last person you want on your back.
Advice worth what you just paid for it.

you have to pay duty + VAT, which combined for slovenia is 23.7%

A guitar is considered (some random numbers here, meaning the type of goods) etc etc, so for guitars, NEW or USED a 3.7% importing duty is added ..

thing is, if it was only duty and vat on top of the price of the guitar, it would be ok-ish.. i have to pay all of that on top of the shipping as well.

Also, i got things sent from the US labeled as gifts.. Boss stuff, gadgets, motherboards.. had to pay 5% duty and tax..

only way to kind of circumvent it, going the 'legal' way, is to have the guitar priced reeeeeeeeally low

Sounds like a similar arrangement to the UK. VAT + Import duty.

I ordered an Agile direct from Rondo as they are the only supplier (if I remember rightly Agile guitars are made to the specification of the guys at Rondo). I'm also fairly sure that they ship with full value on the forms, unlike some other suppliers.
A-Pig 7s, Miracle Man & Mule, Cold Sweats... Expensive kit and no talent posse.
