Little bit of that Lynch swagger going on here ... I like it!
Reminds me a bit of the band HELLION, if you really know yer 80's metal.
The guy with the upside down guitar tapping trick???

The same. The 1st guitarist in HELLION was a student of Randy Rhoads, actually. Listen carefully and you can hear some 'standard' Rhoads scales in there ... :)

Hmmm........ I thought that it was the guy from Grim Reaper that did the upside down tapping thing?[/i]

Yep, one of the few well-known southpaw guitarists.

I could swear I saw the guitar player from Grim Reaper flip his guitar and continue playing in one of their videos on VH1 Classic. I guess I could be wrong. But it was one was of the coolest things i've ever seen.

He might've. To my knowledge, Grim Reaper only made 2 videos. The 1st one was the no-frills See You In Helll, followed by the deliciously camp and over the top Fear No Evil.

There's a great autobiography in 3 parts that are in the Spitfire re-issues of the Grim Reaper catalog ... (god, I'm such a geek!!)

Hi Tim,
I was trying to find what settings you used on the clip, as far as gain, trb, mid and bass, presence. Also you used the same settings on the other clips right?
Thanks

Amp-stock JCM800 50 watt head into a 2 x 12.
Bass 10
Mid 6
Treble 7
Presence 2
Gain 10
Master 1.5

I use this setting on any JCM800 and it's a pretty good starting point-master vol is usually 2.5 but keep in mind I use 2 JCM800ZW 100w in stereo live.

:D im absolutely gobsmacked i nearly bought EMG Zak Wylde set jesus mother of christ BareKnuckle's do rock!!!! the solo tone sounded awesum n beutiful and had sooo much more crunch in the rythm part of the demo than EMG'S. I aint heard the WarPig yet but it's got me tingly with excitement!!! i have a maverick x1 and the x1 humbucker have nuthing on these bar-stewards. Tim congratulations you made an awesum pickup lineup that beats EMG hands down. I shall be buying my warpig's and nailbomb humbuckers very soon   8)

first post!!! nice clip!

im still really undecided as to which pup set i want, its either the nailbomb, miracle man or the warpigs! any suggestions. im after a tone similar to jon shaffer's from iced earth, he has such a crunchy tone, but also very clean if you know what i mean, i want something that can really cut through and be heard, coz up till now, my sound is always underneath our other guitarists. but still, any suggestions, ...

i've been leaning more towards thwe nailbomb from the start to be honest, i think the war pig, as good as the very high output sounds, might be a bit too much for me.

but will the NB give the shaffer tone im after?
