I'm saying it as in does 24 frets have anymore advantages other than having just 2 more notes?
Since you don't need a 24 frets neck to place your neck pickup a bit closer to the bridge, the answer is quite obvious.
Well I didn't know until I started this thread, did I?
It's not that hard to figure out, is that ?-)
I'd really like the extra 2 frets, but apparantly the 22frets pros/cons outweigh the 24-fret/pros cons.
As as explained (with some verbosity) in my answer to your "SC vs HBs" thread, you do have a problem with how to ask questions - ask yourself why you get sarcastic answers ? - , and, may I say, possibly not enough experience to know what to do of the answers.
wrt/ "tone" problems, there are no practical evidence that the two frets difference will make the guitar sound "better" or "worse" - first because I have yet to meet someone who tried the
exact same guitar with a 22 frets neck then with a 24 one, and then it's a matter of taste and whatnot.
FWIW, replacing the stock X2Ns with a Crawler set on my 24 frets Vox certainly made a way greater difference than moving the stock neck pickup a couple centimers away from the bridge.
