I've been in the market for a good decent strat for some time now, but could never really justify spending a lot of money on one so I have tried some cheapos which got my hooked on the strat tone, but didn't really cut it playable and tone wise. Hopefully my strat-thirst will now be quenched as I have just picked up a new second hand strat.
It's a chambered alder body from Warmoth which have a gold finish and relicing. The neck is from Allparts - maple with a rosewood board, nitro finish and it has been refretted not so long ago. I really dig the looks of the guitar and it has a certain mojo going on with the reliced look and the matching cigarette burn at the headstock.
I'm really tempted to get a set of Milks for this guitar, but can't really afford it right now so I'll throw in a Stormy bridge with middle and neck Apaches. Hopefully that combo will deliver the goods.
If anyone has good suggestions concerning what pots and caps I should use as well as color of the pickguard and knobs I'm all ears :D
