I've always thought that in bright piece of wood, the A-pig sounds plenty tight. I have one in my beloved Tele, and it sounds perfect. But since basswood is slightly more "neutral" sounding wood, my gut feeling tells me the C-pig might be a tad better.

I'm still struggling with this lol. I'm actually still weighing Eric's Alnico Nailbomb idea as well. I can't put my finger on what the problem is......I think I just want something more "open" sounding with more depth.....the eq of the Nailbomb may not be the problem....I can actually achieve much of that same tone in that video with the C-bomb.....something is just grating on me.......

Well............I just put the Ceramic War Pig in the basswood RG........very pleased with the results....6 pickups later and found the right one. The Nailbomb found a home in my heavy mahogany RG.......finally starting to enjoy BKPs...... 8)
