ahh i was only joking about the floyd thing

but that mockup actually looks pretty good. probably would need to lose the control plate, though. and might look better with two pickups.

Andrew,

That looks like a very cool idea! And yes, turn the control plate around - otherwise the volume knob is hardly accessible.

Cheers Stephan

Hummm AFAIK they ain't have this routing programmed on CNC yet... Usually they would do it for hand, but then has a US$45 upcharge that is a bit "meh"...

I disagree with it being a bit.  Lets think about it for a moment.  You are having someone build you a guitar.  You are getting it built the way you want it.  Through Warmoth, a custom or rather semi-custom guitar, after it is done is extremely low in prices compared to having a guitar made by another company.

Besides, you are paying for something that will last a life time.  Divide $45 by the days in the year, and see how much it would cost you a day.  Then divide that by an average of possible years left to an average person's life of your age.

Seems pretty affordable to me.

I see your point Buggi... I actually I'm ok with it because I know how they work, they considere themselves a "production in line" company... Beside you can order on your specification, they understand the "customization" for that kinda of thing, that is absolutely normal in a luthier, as a break of the production...

As I said, seeying for that side is ok, thinking you're ordering a custom guitar is a bit weird... But the quality of the product make it worth the while, IMO... :)

(also, I live in a country that the currency is cheap, so every penny ends being a lot to me :) )

Yeah, its more like a semi-custom deal.  I didn't realize that you lived in another country either.  Please excuse my assumption.
