I still love that esquire, Dave (just not as much as Ruby ). I want a tele!!!

The Lion Jr. is looking super cool. I think a black pickguard would suit it better though.

Oh and that cub looks very nice (exept the fretboard, which to my eyes looks to bright, might by the pic thohg). I like how the paintjob, PU ring and Pu come together. Something different in a good way.
Your guitars have style about them I just really, really dig (the quality of the photos helps too). You make guitars I like in styles I usually donīt. really nice taste on you. Itīs nothing too fancy, but it feels like taking old ideas and giving them something fresh and refined. Just feels right.

The paleness of the fingerboard is due to the studio lighting being a touch too bright - it is quite rich in colour

I think I might supply an additional black guard with the guitar so the player has a choice - and a pair of matching truss rod covers to suit.

No - think it came back since then

Still tinkering with colour of pickguard and pickup ring , need to put truss rod cover and backplate on but it's great to play already...

That is really lovely. You'd better be quick Philly or I may have a credit card lapse...

And I will also add to the chorus of approval for Jonathan's work. In fact I'll probably be dropping off my Strat and PRS for a set-up as I'm being sent to Turkey for a month shortly so it's looking like a good opportunity to get the family fettled in top notch working order ready for my return. :)

However.... keep an eye on that credit card, Andrew, I won't be buying another singlecut Junior for a while, I already have a couple (plus an expensive German Jr-style with a single humbucker).

As always, though, on Feline-related threads, it gives me ideas and adds to GAS generally....

i like Jonathan's fret dresses. always comes back just how i want :) he has a good technique for doing scratchplates too. jonathan must have had his hands much of my collection by now - one way or another.

I've been wondering about that - how do you make your scratchplates generally Jonathan?

Entirely by hand, or do you outsource the cutting then finish them off in the workshop?

They tend to be a bit labour intensive to be fair - work is done by hand
We make an MDF template and then cut the plate to that.
It makes us an expensive option but sometimes it's the only way to get what you want or need.
Of course the 2nd time is easier as we already have the template

Is that a Krautster? I guess they are very cool. Played some Hubers at a Frankfurt Musikmesse years ago and thought they were great.

It is.  Must admit I kept it under my hat and never did an NGD thread.

It's a very fine guitar!

It's probably a bit late for a thread now.  Suffice to say it looks exactly like this one..... in fact it may very well be this one, since the inlays are non-standard:

Hmmm.... has that pic worked?  I can't see it, I'll put it in Photobucket later.
