Yeah, I think that's him, at the 2010 Musikmesse.

The guitar has a certificate naming the original owner, but he sold it to another guy in Germany, then I bought it last year (when our very own Hunter told me about it!)

But enough de-railing the thread..... let's look at this again!  :D

the Feline Junior is very, very nice.  it reminds me more of a PRS SE one than a Les Paul junior though.  not sure why.  i know they're variations on a theme, of course :)

yes balance is very good and no shoulder ache either

Guitar is very lively and has a real "brang" to it - Twinfan said it had a lot of "spank" to the sound
Combination of stiff stable 3 piece quartersawn neck and nice rosewood board, the Earvana nut, lightweight tuners and the lightweight Tonepros wraparound bridge help give it  great response and frequency range.

it kind of has everything from a fat sounding Blackguard tele Esquire tone to a thick Gibbo LP tone at your fingertips, varying on how you play and careful use of the tone control.

Pots are 550K BKP/CTS pots in a 50s wiring config  using a Jensen 0.022 PIO cap

EDIT : Yes it has our all access neck joint too!!

Have you got a gratuitous pic of the back?

Oh, and what's the neck shape?  '60s style?

How about no pickguard and no mounting rings? Have you already bolted these on the guitar?
I think it would look cool clean with a black covered MQ dierct mounted

Neck profile is kind of 60s - it's very similar to the one on the Lion Special I made myself - feels easy to play

You need the pickguard to hide the extended tenon on the neck join - we ALWAYS use a long tenon on our Lions - although it would be hidden if we used a neck pickup too.
Because of the height of the bridge it would look odd with no ring as the pickup would look at bit suspended in mid air
We could use a black ring though....

The colour is really beautiful.  Similar to your Lion Special but a bit lighter/more orangey?

What pickup does the Lion Jr. sport? Have I missed this from earlier in the thread? From the pics it looks like a p90 in humbucker casing.

Pickup is an MQ.

Phil - it's not that orangey in real life, it's pretty much the same as Jon's Lion.  Get your credit card out  ;)
