aging looks good philly - i have real faith you might finish a project soon :) you must have all the bits now!

I must admit I have, in this case.

In fact I have a few more bits than I need, because I wasn't happy with some of the "relic" parts I bought - sometimes they're a bit over-done.

plus you have all the tools, skills and experience to knock out a lovely relic strat next weekend mate.. motivation motivation motivation!!

You make me sound like the Six Million Dollar Man!    (or, more accurately, like the scientists who had the technology, who had the capability, to make the world's first bionic man...)

Or Bob the Builder.

But yes, about time I got on with this one....

I have complete faith that by next Sunday evening Philly Q will be shredding on a new relic Strat. Nothing, I repeat nothing, will stand in his way.

So... this thread had already been going for a bit by the time I got to it... is it done yet?

Looking forward to seeing it finished, should be fab :D

btw - If you need it, I can loan you a 4" belt-sander with a 40 grit belt if you need to bring some of the subtler relicing in-line with the other bits... (that arm wear on the body does look a little "tentative" at the moment )

Patience is a virtue, guys, patience is a virtue......

I do want to get on with this one, but I shall be taking my time over it.   I'm very much a "measure twice, cut once" kind of DIY-er.

(Actually, make that "measure four times, cut once and then measure again to be sure you got it right....")

Excellent wiring job.

I always try to do these as neat and accurate but they mostly end up as provisionary wirings since I keep on changing things.

Cheers Stephan

Looks nice though... I weep at the thought of it sharing the same fate as the Ark of the Covenant
