No worries Ian.  :)

It's on its way from Japan now.... let's hope the Customs charges aren't too hefty.

I've never bought any guitar related item from Europe let alone Japan! Do they always apply charges or can you get away with it if you are lucky?
I think I hate being indecisive.

I've seen forum posts from people saying they somehow managed to avoid import charges, but whenever I've bought anything big and valuable (i.e. guitars!) from outside the EU I've always had to pay VAT and import duty.

With smaller packages like CDs and Blu-rays (and guitar parts), they do sometimes manage to sneak through Customs unmolested, presumably because the volume of mail is so big they can't check everything.

My experience is the same as Philly - some stuff gets through and some not. I've ordered DiMarzio pickups, and a Floyd Rose and not been charged any duty for example. On the other hand, I've paid full whack on some Steinberger parts.

The pictures of the neck Warpig in the donor guitar as you requested Philly :

I just threw an otherwise unused Tonerider P/U in the bridge, to fill the gap.  Not a patch on B.K.P. pickups !

The Warpig ( here in it's Sunday best outfit ) can look surprisingly sophisticated.  8)

BKP Manhattans, Stormy Mondays,  Mules , Missisippi Queens , ( Alnico) Warpigs - and VHII Bridge.

It certainly can!  :D  It's funny what a difference the second row of polepieces can make, I guess because we're all so very familiar with the classic Gibson PAF look.

I'm considering nickel covers, also with screw poles.  Nothing too scary!

Thanks again Derek.   :)
