As I'm not much of a trem user, and I wanted my main working guitar to be as useful as possible, I fitted a Tremol-no to my blue PRS Signature yesterday. I got the large clamp type, which is the one for the PRS trem, and it fits perfectly :) The hardest part of the install was getting a couple of trem springs out of the PRS block - they're a REALLY tight fit! I found the best method was to bend the spring upwards slightly at the block with a small screwdriver, then use some chunky pliers and the "wiggle method" A touch of WD-40 helped a lot too. The block ended up a little scuffed afterwards, but that seems to be unavoidable.
If anyone is fitting one in the future I'd recommend watching the installation video on the Tremol-no site, as it covers all you need to know. Be aware that you'll need to fiddle with your trem a bit afterwards to get it set up just right, but the results are definitely worth it.
I took it to rehearsal last night and used it all three ways - fully floating / dive only / fully locked - and it was great in action and I couldn't feel any difference in the trem action. I spent plenty of time setting it up, and I think this is time well spent. It's a top product, and I think it's altered the tone of the guitar a little too (for the better). I always felt this guitar was lacking a bit of snap or twang to the attack, but it seems to have gained a bit more after fitting the Tremol-no, probably due to the extra solidity of the trem system now (even unlocked). I guess that might not be good for some people/guitars, but in my case it's great. Then again, I could be imagining it so who knows...
The only slight negative is that the clamping screws seemed to rattle loose really easily, but after reading around on the web this is a common thing that can be solved a few ways. I seem to recall there was a o-ring in the spare parts bag which I think I need to fit on the screws to stop them working loose. Doh. I'll try that at the weekend and hopefully it'll cure the problem.
Overall? I'm well happy with it and would recommend it :)
