From a debate on another forum, thought we should try it here - what was the Number One Single on the day you were born?

http://www.everyhit.com/dates/

July 22nd 1967 for me, that was The Beatles, All You Need Is Love. That's what I get for being born in the Summer of love.

The site says I share a birthday with George Clinton and Don Henley. I also know I share a birthday with Danny Glover (yay!) and Bonnie Langford (ugh)

Disappointingly, Art Garfunkel's "I Only Have Eyes For You" but, in happier news, I share my birthday with Hank Marvin and Ben Harper which pleases me.

The Number 1 single was:

Cilla Black - "You're My World"  :|

The Number 1 album was:

Rolling Stones - "Rolling Stones"  (that's better!  :D )

People who share my birthday are pretty boring too:

1936 - Tommy Devito ( guitarist, vocalist, The Four Seasons )
1944 - Robin Box ( White Plains )  :?
1948 - Nick Drake
1959 - Mark Debarge ( of US family group Debarge )
1963 - Paula Abdul

Nick Drake is, of course, cool - but long deceased.  :(

I know I also have the same birthday as Brian "Head" Welch, the Korn guitarist who went loopy and got religion.  And I was born on exactly the same day as our esteemed Mayor, Boris Johnson.....

BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

I guess compared to some other dates, the music for me isn't too bad. 10/05/88 had U2's Desire, and Bon Jovi's New Jersey in the top spots.

I'm relatively happy with the people I share my DOB with, just a few are Brian Johnson from AC/DC, Steve Miller, Bob Geldof, Bernie Mac, hockey players Mario Lemieux and Patrick Roy.

I already knew mine, Frank Ifield's "Wayward Wind" (and Cliff and The Shadows "Summer Holiday" was the album).

Didn't know this lot though:

1927 - Harry Belafonte Cool!
1944 - Roger Daltry ( vocalist, The Who ) Also Cool!
1946 - Tony Ashton ( vocalist, keyboard player, Ashton Gardner & Dyke ) OK
1958 - Nik Kershaw Oh Dear
1962 - Peter Stephenson ( of The Shamen ) Who?

And just a few short hours later it would have been even cooler:

1943 - Lou Reed ( real name; Louis Firbank. Vocalist; solo and with Velvet Underground ) Cool
1948 - Rory Gallagher ( guitarist, solo and in Taste; deceased ) WAY COOL
1950 - Karen Carpenter ( vocalist, drummer, The Carpenters; deceased ) WAY COOL
1962 - Jon Bon Jovi ( real name John Francis Bongiovi; vocalist; Bon Jovi ) OK
1977 - Chris Martin ( lead vocals, keyboards, Coldplay ) Can't win em all I guess...
