For the PRS fans - new 408 models!

The maple top will be around £2800, the standard around £2300.  There's a rosewood neck option on both models.

A 408 Standard with a rosewood neck in Antique White?  Hmmmmmm......

Hope the PU's don't suck like PRS PU's usually do.. Because if they do you can't replace them on these.. Otherwise it seems like a hardtail CU22 with extra switching options.

EDIT: ah they do a trem as well, fair enough. Seems like a platform to promote the pickups, think i'd rather have a CU22/24. Still don't like that blade selector they're using now though

The pickups are awesome - I love them.

Blade switch is a bit pants though, I prefer a toggle.

So in effect, is it a non-Private Stock version of your green Signature model, but with a 3-way Fender-style switch instead of a 3-way toggle?

Looks good, but I think the electronics are too fiddly.  If you're going to use a blade switch, why not have a 5-way, without the mini-switches, and keep it a bit simpler?
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Not enough versatility with a 5-way.  It needs to keep the "4 pickups, 8 sounds" to be classed as a "408"  ;)

It's has the same switching options as a PS Sig or a Sig Ltd, but with the blade in place of a 3-way toggle.

Thanks, now I understand the name!  :lol:

Not for me, though.  I'm only just reaching the point where I can accept the second volume control on the DGT enough to have GAS for one....  :?   Mini-switches are well beyond the pale!

513 = 5 pickups, 13 sounds

305 = 3 pickups, 5 sounds

There's a pattern  ;)

DGTs are great, but after gigging my DGT Std on Sunday I think I'm going to invest in another 408 equipped guitar.  I just have a thing for the tone of those pickups, although they don't suit everyone.

I honestly had no idea where the "number" names came from.  You learn something new every day!  :lol:

In addition to the DGT, or as a replacement?

Not sure.  I'll back-to-back them when I buy something, but I may move on the Henderson Singlecut and DGT Std.

The Henderson will be definitely be heading off to pastures new, as anything new with 408s will become my #2 gigging guitar in its place.
