Vaseline liberally applied to the drivers door handle cavity can be quite effective. and doesn't cause any damage (so no liability for criminal damage see). The driver goes to open his door and gets a handful of warm goo for his troubles. Unsuspected, not entirely pleasant, but no illegal-per-se.

I can't think of anymore legal solutions right now but I'm in the law library tomorrow so I shall check.

One very old thing to do was to put table tennis balls into the petrol tank they used to rattle around causing great annoyance to the driver.

Alas that and tampons in the petrol tank are a thing of the past with the lockable filler caps and stuff.

Well one option is to get a local chav to call at your door on his quad, and to accidently clip the wing of the offending car.

A similar process is often carried out by bus drivers (and white van drivers) who find their routes blocked.

If they are blocking the pavement (sidewalk to you folks in the colonys), cars can often get scr@ped by those who are wheeling prams (or bicycles).

If you have access to a dog they sometimes like to use large stationary objects as toilets.

I of course am not suggesting that these things have happened in the past and may happen again.

if your willing to completely destroy his car, which i doubt you are, you could put saw dust in the petrol tank. i don't know if anyones metioned that before, i havnt read all the posts.

also if you were careful and accurate enough you could use paint stripper, when he comes back to his car, it won't look like his anymore. of course you would have to wash all the paint off the floor.

i wouldn't advise trying it though.haha.

Don't suppose any of the windows are ever left open a crack?
I dead fish is always a nasty surprise as the smell is HELL to get rid of.
This is an old wedding trick. But then you put it at the heater intake in the engine bay (which means opening the bonnet or hood lol).

Another one (though choosing words may be necessary dependant on the area). Most people do NOT check the rear of their cars much. So, a bumper sticker (homemade or not) saying somthing maybe homosexual or racist may cause some grief. Although I in no way condone this behaviour and if ever asked will "not recall" ever having mentioned it

Of course this negates "instant gratification" but usually does the trick one way or another.

What kind of temple?  If it's the correct kind you could always print out a certain cartoon that's been in the news recently and leave it under their windscreen wiper.  ;)
