Speaking from personal experience, the Holydiver works well, though it doesn't have a particularly prominent bottom end. The Holydiver is all about bids and to me, they're fairly evenly spread so it cuts through a mix well and doesn't make too much of the upper mids that will be in your guitar naturally. Although I liked the Holydiver in my maple neck-thru, I felt that the Miracle Man was a better match. It has enough bottom end but it also plenty of low mids so it really does sound huge. The 'scoop' that you see on the EQ chart is in the upper mids and that's why it works so well in a maple neck-thru guitar where upper mids are plentiful. Highs are thick, smooth and fluid. It actually has quite a lot in common with the Holydiver in that regard. I've also read some good reports of a Warpig in a maple neck-thru but this is a pickup with a lot of bass so I think you'd have to really be after the particular sound it would produce.
