I got this as a temporary solution as I'm moving into a more restrictive environment for a few months to save a deposit.

So far I'm really enjoying it. It sounds great both direct & with impulses and incredible into my Legend loaded Roadkill Cab.

It isn't a patch on the SLO but nothing really is.

I was really impressed with the 60w head that I tried. For £550 odd I thought it was staggeringly good.

Hmm its hard to say really as it covers quite a lot of ground.

If anything though I'd say it sounds like a marshall but a little darker.

That was my impression, British, but a bit dark. You don't find it overly dark?

Not really. The tone control can take it from being really dark to be really bright.

And when you say you have used the direct, do you mean the USB function? How do you feel it emulates a mic cab when going direct?

Yeah I monitored it via USB. It doesn't sound amazing on it's own but I imagine it would sit in a mix well.

I do however think it will be far better with impulses.

It seems to me like most cab emulations doesn't really cut it. I was very curious here for the newest gen gear.

I will check one out though. It's a very cool little amp

I went to try one of these and really wanted to like it, but decided against getting one. Sound just didn't wow me like playing the big amps through the torpedo live, which IMO is the better solution for cutting back on volume.

At the end of the day, it is about making music. Regardless of approach, just keep creating and moving forward. Healthy debates and discussions are great, but I would rather hear a good song with ANY tone, than the song or album that never gets done because of all this fiddle faddle getting in the way. :)
