Loads to ponder! Thanks  :D  I'll give them all a google.

Probaby not a problem if you know how to build 'em Tony ;)

I think Juan meant his pedal would be more of a distortion rather than OD? Rather than I would want a distortion. I have no problem with distortion, I used Juans Fuzzes and Distortions into a clean amp for quite a spell and they were excellent but I don't want something that's going to overly colour the sound.

That would be quite a feat, bucketshred!

John, don't forget to buy the gloop. I think you should make a clip so we can all hear it  8)

I bow to your knowledge, Plen but the reason I sold my muff pedal was because it got really squashed and compressed on top of any gain.

cr@ppy quality clip here that shows where my gain is. This was a Rebel Yell which I think is probably a little bit hotter than the pickups in the Wolfgang and ofcourse I get quite alot more juice out of it with my Warpigs.

Juansolo Effects. Get To The Choppa!

Well arrangements can be made.

In your position though the Ceriatone Chupacabra/Yeti is hard to beat.

Funny you say that ToeKnee, the Yeti is great at all things Marshally. If i have mine in pleximode (which will be similar to your morgan Lew) i'll boost it with a klon(Jsolo) or an Emma reezathingymajig which is a great sounding overdrive/distortion that keeps the articulation that you don't want to lose.

One the SHO: It is a seriously simple, but damn effective little circuit. I mean look at it http://tagboardeffects.blogspot.de/2013/02/zvex-super-hard-on-compact-layout.html Sure, you still need to do some soldering if you do it yourself, but if you got enough feeling in your fingers to play guitar this is not impossible to learn I recon.
Otherwise a lot of people can whip one up for easily and cheaply. The parts are all cheap and small in number, so...
BKPs in use: 10th set / RY set / Holy Diver b, Emerald n / Crawler bridge, Slowhand mid MQ neck/ Manhattan n
On the sidelines: Stockholm b / Suppermassive n, Mule n, AM set, IT mid

I don't think I've seen the Yeti before. Another cool thing to read about  8)

I youtubed the SHO. wow it has ALOT of boost, alot more than I had expected.

The layout doesn't mean much to me, Kiichi! I really am that useless I'm afraid! I'm sure my better half could work it out, though. She's pretty mean with a soldering iron.

Ah yes, sorry. Would not have meant much to much before I started getting into it too. Makes a lot more sense when you put it in perspective. So if you look at these two classic circuits in comparison you might get an idea of how simple and small it really is.

It really is worth looking at the AMZ mosfet boost if you are interested in the SHO - I prefer it.... and there's no crackle....

Thanks, forestcaver  :)

I see, Kiichi. So, where's the best place to pick up a kit or is it better to source parts? I also need a soddering (;-p) iron!
