I had Dimarzio-twinrails in the past, but they weren't doing it really for me. BKP doesn't produce hotrails as you probably know. But a Sinner-bridge will provide a big tone. Or if you like a little tamer a Trilogy with a baseplate.
I had a Kent Armstrong rails set in a Patrick Eggle and they were too harsh/bright and quite 'scratchy'. It now has Seymour Duncan Hot Rails (bridge) and Cool Rails (middle/neck) - they are solid and smooth and split very well. No harshness. I cant comment on best BKP alternative SC as all mine are HBsAre the caps and pots right for HBs in your Warmoth?
The only single coil sized rail pickup I know and have is the DiMarzio Chopper T. It is fairly hot for a single coil but probably nowhere near a SD JB Jr. The tone is rather PAF-ish than high output-ish. If you love the JB Jr. in the neck the most obvious move would be to get the matching bridge model. Cheers Stephan

The treble was too much. I'm not sure how much the JB Jr bridge pickup will differ from the SH-4. I have it in my head now that the JB pickups should only really be put in the neck. I will have a good look at the JB Jr bridge and see how it compares with the SH-4.

I would guess that the treble came from the guitar more than the pickup. Never played the JB Jr but I actually tried the full size SH-4 in the neck position of a LP Custom that I no longer have but wired in parallel instead of the standard series wiring. The highs and mids were beautiful in the parallel mode but the bass was still too strong for my taste. DiMarzio has various single coil sized humbuckers but as I said I only know the Chopper T.
