BKP set for Godin Redline III

It has EMGs.  Yes I'm going to change the pots =-p
**note** it had an 81 in the bridge and an 85 in the neck stock but the guy I got the guitar from swapped them because he complained the bridge pickup sounded 'thin' and the neck was too 'phat'.  It's definitely balanced right now but so lifeless, sterile, and robotic.  The guitar itself is lively and awesome when unplugged!

I know I've been trying to find a new tone so I acquired a Godin Redline III with the intention of hot rodding it with awesome pickups.  It's going to be my metal axe but I'd still like a dynamic / responsive bridge and a neck that can really do a beautiful clean tone.  Going to equip this thing with a 5 way switch for coil tapping.  When I started this project, I wanted to find something to put juggernauts in.   I like the idea of a ceramic combined with an alnico magnet.

Guitar specs:  25.5 scale.  Double Cut guitar. Bolt on Neck.

Neck: Medium thickness rock (hard) maple neck, somewhat thin but still chunky enough.  Rosewood fingerboard.
Body: Silverleaf (Soft) Maple core with poplar wings.  It's got a licensed floyd rose tremolo, much to my chagrin.

Playing and trying to determine tone through an amp with EMGs is entirely useless.  Playing the guitar acoustically, it sounds like a slightly darker / very full, warm, and well balanced strat.  It's brighter with more mids  than my mahogany body / neck guitar.  It's got a different sound than my LP Standard, decidedly more strat like, but equally balanced.  It's not lacking in lows, mids, or highs to my ears.

Some BKP I like the sound of that may be suitable:  Juggernauts.  Aftermaths.  Nailbombs.  I also like warpigs but they may be too dark, especially for the neck.  The bridge may take an A Pig, depending on how 'thin' that position actually sounds.  I like the Nailbombs but I think they'll be too bright / high mid focused.

thoughts:

Oh, and my A - Bomb bridge came in for my Les Paul.  I'm hoping to do a recorded comparison between that and the Rebel Yell when I install it.

I tried an abomb in a strat once and I didn't like it.  I had a red line once.  I think the juggernauts would sound amazing in it.  It's definitely capable of a lot and it has great cleans too

Ben said Juggernauts too which was also my initial reaction.  I bought the guitar thinking "Man, this thing would take Juggernauts well."

Compared to the Redline you had, this thing has a licensed floyd rose trem, 25.5 scale neck, and 22 frets.  So it probably is a bit wider sounding overall and it will handle drop tuning better.  I'm thinking I'm going to get a bit of work done on it so it will have a killer low action.  A problem with a lot of mid level production instruments is the setup.  Factories cut costs in these areas and pass that cost onto the consumer.  No worries, I got this thing for a fraction of the cost used which is why I can afford to dump the remaining funds into a setup / new pickups.  I'm also thinking I'm going to add an extra volume pot so I have 2 volumes and one tone.  This way I can dial back the neck pickup to clean it up.

Not to worry, the A-Bomb is going in my Les Paul Standard.

Here's my unplugged mp3 from before but with more guitars.

The guitars are
#1  Godin LG  ( Solid mahogany body; mahogany bolt on neck with rosewood fingerboard 24 3/4 scale
#2 Gibson Les Paul Standard (Weight Relieved Mahogany body with a maple cap; mahogany set neck with rosewood fingerboard.  24 3/4 scale.)
#3 Godin Redline III.   Silver Leaf (Soft) maple centre body with poplar wings; Rock (Hard) maple bolt on neck with rosewood fingerboard. 25.5 scale
#4  Peavey Predator AX  (strat copy)  Not sure what the body wood is but my guess is either poplar or alder.  The neck is most likely maple (Bolt on) with a rosewood fingerboard.  25.5 scale.
