ok the killer question now.... a tricky, specific one too, what would sound better for classic-hard rockmaybe dabbling in a lil bit 'o metal:

engl thunder 50 combo (WITHOUT attenuator)

OR

laney lc30 (WITH attenuator- hotplate probably).

and it pretty much has to be the thunder 50 COMBO no other, dearer engl's - thats my limit price wise.

anyone tried both?

I reckon you should buy my Marshall/Behringer halfstack for £300 notes and then spend the rest on an attenuator.

Just my 2 pennies

Andy!
GREAT GOOGILY MOOGILY!

DAMN! didnt think of that one..... what if... WHAT IF..... i played the guitar 'remotely'??

ok being serious now.... is there anything that would work apart from ear plugs lol cause i may not be able to find any by tomorrow...

if you're really stuck, and have a long enough lead, you can go outside the room and close the door over- that'll cut out a bit of the noise.

You won't die, but you might mess up your hearing...

haha andy lol...

ok just tried it on full volume + almost full gain and it was pretty damn good.... not AS loud as i expected, i think its cause we turned it up very gradually....

i was too close to it really- less than 3 metres away, so there was a LOT of hum and squealing.... need a longer lead,

now just gotta try an engl.... and maybe andys marshall/behringer

haha! damn im fed up of people trying to sell me stuff!!!!?!?!!! lol

it was awesome but was WAYYY too noisy (not loud NOISY) cause like i said i was really close, and ive got a p-90 so the hum was immense.

wish i had a longer lead.... definately better than my crate at higher volumes though....

so now just need to decide whether to go for laney+hotplate, or new amp altogether....

also, my bloody mates washburn, how unfair can life be, hes only just started, and every time i play his washburn I WANT TO KILL HIM!!!!!

its a USA made (no serial number so maybe US custome shop!!!), chicago series, KC something.... absolutely... AWESOME!!!!

ive roped him into getting nailbombs    so there shall be clips and pics of the beast soon.
