Nice! congrats and glad it finally arrived-how does the neck compare to the one on the RGA42?

It's a bit slimmer and not quite as wide but its a small margin on the width. The fretwork is a lot better without a single uneven spot or sharp end. It's also got a satin finish on the back too which makes playing a bit nicer. The guitar itself is a lot lighter too.

Very nice :D I wonder if the neck is slightly more based on the J-customs? The few I tried had slightly rounder neck profiles than the wizard-style necks, IIRC, and the rest of the premium range looks a wee bit like it took the J-customs as inspiration...

Has it had the pickups changed in it? They don't really look like the stock ones, but I could be wrong. EDIT: d'oh, my mistake, it just says "premium" on the pickup plastic cover

Also I was going to say I didn't realise it came with a hard case, but looking more closely at the pics the handle seems to be soft so maybe it's just a more solid type of soft case?

yeah its a semi hard one. Plenty sturdy all of the premium line come with as well as a multi tool and change of strings. My other premium came with a different tool though but still a nice one without the socket wrench.

The staff that make the premium line are ex Japan staff so prestige/J Custom etc.

Thanks

I didn't know that about the staff, that's interesting.
