yeah id be going ceramic for sure
Awesome. Let us know how you like it. What is your experience with the juggernaut? Im doing a skervesen build and can't decide what pick ups to put in it. I decided on mahogany body over the swamp ash with a bolt on wedge bubinga neck. I'll most likely be doing standard tuning since I mainly play shred and metal. Any input and detailed info would be very helpful.

the juggernaut is a definite favorite of mine. it worked great in my les paul custom a while back (mostly mahogany) and works great in my alder strat. it works very well no matter what tuning you use but it certainly excels in lower tunings. its very articulate. responds very nicely to pick attack. and the highs arent shrill or anything like that. great great low end but not over the top. it really is just something that needs to be heard in person to believe. it really blows a lot of the competition away. cleans are amazing. very very nice for a medium-high output pickup. its an animal. it is a very versatile pickup.

also, before i pull the trigger on BK's i'm considering trying another brand that i've heard good things about. The Creamery, also based out of the UK. i contacted the owner about what i'm looking for and we'll see what he says. his 7 string section says he can make basically any of his humbuckers into 7 string versions but he can also make custom pickups with different magnet choices, and output requests. etc. his demos sound amazing

heres the new lady. DEFINITELY needs a pickup upgrade. but plays really nicely. im thinking alnico warpig is the way to go. i considered ceramic but i dont want those added highs. i think i would be better off. i want something powerful, lots of low end and clarity but the highs need to be a bit less in your face. so i think i have the right choice.

and i'm actually going to be doing the single bridge pickup layout again like i tend to. especially for 7 string, i feel like i wont really utilize the neck pickup. i'm actually going to get a new pickguard custom made since its a bit bigger.

Strange to see a Strat 7 string. Thought you would go for Ibanez or something like that.

The Warpig has a ton of low end thump, i didn't think it would work on a 7 tbh.

HD would be a good all rounder and the low end on the HD would be ok on the low B.

Warpig. Don't back down. It's what you originally wanted

LOL.

The Warpig in my Caparison originally was in dropped C and did actually sound ok. I am just not into the Drop C thing. So maybe you will like it even though it is a one trick pony and a 'Blast' as you US people say.

The warpig is not a one trick pony. I would know, I have two of them. They can do lean mean metal of all kinds to the other end of the spectrum  to jazz. It can do shred and progressive as well and excels in all of these. Just depends what your rig sounds like and if it will compliment it. And some other times you get a pleasant suprise with something totally unexpected. Littlered, you've been talking about the warpigs for a long time, get them.

well i guess the same couldve been said about the SD invader. but i used that as an all around rock based pickup for years.

i think i'm just gonna go with the juggernaut though. i know it well. it worked AMAZING in the baritone i had. and i already love it and know what to expect. whether or not i have it in another guitar, im settled on this. although i'd love the try the warpig some day.
