Many thanks, great demo, very useful and informative!
Can you do some soloing as well as clean (full humbucker mode)  on the neck one as well please? Doesnt have to any long shredding just some short pattern please.

What tuning are you in?
Neck pickups seems to be really bass heavy, how would you comment on neck model?
thanks

Many thanks Franq!

What would you say about neck pickup? I`m especially interested in neck model.
Shame that I cannot reamp those tracks.

Hi all,

I'm new to the forum.

Thought I should hop in as I was looking for somebody like me when purchasing the Rag PUP's when I was scouting through this forum. I really liked the thick lush clean sounds on the audio demo's and though I would give them a try in my Frankenstein guitar.

I play mainly clean amp'd stuff. Like effects and do sessions and play my own music in my band.

I didn't find the pickups too hot and they were exactly what I was looking for to spice up my guitar coming from 'The Mule' PUP's.

They are thick and relatively high but not overly compressed. I have more than enough dynamics. I just finished doing session work on a full country album and used these coil tapped and we're perfect for the job through a Rivera and Jazz Chorus amp!

I may be the only person that's purchased them that hasn't ever heard a periphery song and putting them in a hollow body :)

Will post some audio clips when I get time.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum!

Hope it works for you because I definitely wouldn't buy them for playing cleans .

Really? Have you tried them on clean? I’ve found them awesome for clean stuff and I’d be very surprised that anyone who actually uses them finds them bad for clean sound.

Please post a DI of your guitar as I’d love to hear a bad clean sound from these

I'm really curious about Ragnarok neck. Still not many demos out there.
How do you find neck model?
Is it overly dark sounding?
Does it have that strong and aggressive picking attack due to its ceramic magnet like Painkiller neck has?
Thanks

Nope, haven't tried them, I'm just pretty sure I'd prefer something vintagey for cleans.

Nice clean tones man! Bridge pickup has a little too much output IMO, but yeah, good job.

Thanks. They were through a 'deluxe reverb' model on Axe FX Ultra.

Yep, I thought so. Bridge would probably clip a little with most tube amps.
