Prs with Miracle Man Sound Clip
« on: October 01, 2018, 05:14:34 AM »
I did a quick recording with the new Bare Knuckle Miracle Man Pickups I put in my 2004 PRS Standard 24 all mahogany. I used a PRS Archon 100w head with a Fractal Audio FX8 for effects. Running through a Suhr Reactive load using the new Ownhammer Friedman IR's. Tuning is Drop B. Figured I'd share.

Sounds good, well done. I`m glad to see that Miracle Man is getting loads of attention here, as it`s my favorite pickup so far out of all BKP bridge models, I`ve tried. I`m just finishing my second song featuring Miracle Man set.
By the way if you look down below on forum main page, there`s a 'Players' section where you can present recordings.
Keep it up!

Is the MM metal only or can it do Classic rock?

Trust me, MM can do classic rock and even heavy blues very well, it might give that edge and a little bit of modern twist, but not too much. Actually I find MM quite versatile, it`s not extreme metal pickup at all.

At the moment I`m finishing my second song (finishing the video to be precise) of MM set doing heavy blues/rock type of thing and it`s sounds amazing. I should get that finished this weekend.

If you`re interested check out my first song featuring MM set, it`s more hard rock/rock vibe:

I find them very versatile and can cover a lot of ground. Cleans are great too. The neck pickup is very fat sounding and they also coil split very well.

Yeah I have one in my SG Standard (in standard tuning, EADGBE) and I don't find it 'extreme' ... the output is more than the Cold Sweat but I can still get all the same tones out of it and then some because it has more bottom end if you want to dial that in.

Totally agree, it`s not extreme pickup at all. Regarding neck model it is fat but thanks to hollow mids (just like bridge model) and sparkle in highs it`s not dull at all. It has it`s own character. At the moment I`m using way more MM neck than for example Cold Sweat in another guitar.

check video below, where MM set is doing some bluesy hard rock, both neck and bridge playing leads:
