For the win!

Anyway, some very unorganised desktops here, lads, can't you keep yourselves tidy?
Oh and Tom, i don't hate your desktop, per se, it's just bland and dull.
Indy, your's is cool, but disorganised.

Some nice monitor setups lurking around here too!
I've always wanted dual monitors, but i would never use them...

So heres mine anyway... pretty boring but hey.

Its the city of Kirkwall in Orkney. It was taken Last Autumn fom the top of St Magnus' cathedral on my honeymoon.

Believe it or not this was just one day before that first real snow front hit Scotland than England last year. The one where 300 cars were left stranded on the highway and people had to spend the night in a Gym.

Shame 'bout the compression on this shot because when viewed at full resolution it really is beautiful.

Boothby Graffoe! I've seen him a few times. Did you ever got to The Fox in Palmers Green Jonathon? Good comedy club there, or there was once.

Hmm.  We had a cat almost exactly like yours when I was young.  Very affectionate for a Siamese cat.

use Trend Micro or NOD32, or both

Nod32 is expensive though isnt it? I use antivir and its actually not that bad, the scan itself takes ages but it found more viruses than the full version of AVG.

I simply download the trial version of NOD32 every month from the Hungarian site. It's the same as the regular version just expires after 30 days, then I uninstall it and install the newly downloaded one. The US site also has a download section: http://www.eset.com/download/index.php

I had forgotten about him,I saw him the same night that I had the misfortune to see Sean Hughes (arrogant !£$&er). Thankfully I didn't have to pay in as I was helping with the PA that night

Graffoe was infinately better than Hughes, and Graffoes Radio 4 show is pretty good (but very tame)

Still I had to admit was Hughes funny for the first ten seconds of his act when he tripped over the brush that the lighting guys left leaning at the top of the stairs, he was absolutely soaked when he spilled his pint :)

As for anti virus, if you head off via the Micro$oft site you will get a link for Fprot (FSecure as the suite is now called) and eTrust EZ antivirus which are both dammed good. I think you get 6 months or 12 months updates for free (and a 30% discount for following years).

Fprot has been the best antivirus product for about the last 10 years in proper tests. When I say proper tests I mean viruses found in the wild not the ones supplied to the magazine reviewers by a certain anti virus company (McA**e). The same company bought up Dr Solomons and basically closed it within a month (yet Solomons had better detection rates)
