Tremsetter? Tremol-no?

hi guys

as one of my thread before was asking about floyd rose... yes im very new to floyd rose so just wanna ask

is it necessary to have a tremsetter? i mean what exactly can it do?

and tremol-no have heard and saw the website seems to be pretty cool stuff... anyone got any experience??

and finally what are certain upgrades or mods can i do with a floyd rose? except the change bridge nut to graphtech because my bridge nuts seem to appear inwards instead of outward like certain other floyd rose bridge

try an EVH Drop D-Tuna, comes in very handy (i'd imagine, never used a floyd rose myself, so i wouldn't know :?)

The EVH Drop D-Tuna only works if the Floyd is set against the body - NOT floating - (floating is when you can pull-up / raise pitch as well as drop).

Upgrades shouldn't be needed - it just depends on which model Floyd you have - Original / Ibanez Edge / Licensed Other.

With the Edge/Edge Pro many things can be changed but only if you wish as it is a great trem outta the box.

A tremsetter is not "needed" for any if they are set up right - some like em, some don't.

I think you need to just get on and have fun - not worry about upgrades until you have a problem / more info.

You best bet is to first learn all about a perfect floating set-up from any of the great sites on the net.

ive learnt the proper way to set everything up already

mine is a float

so far think back and forth only the tremol-no is worth the bucks

I didn't really like the D-Tuna. Mine sucked and the spring seemed not to work as it was supposed to. The spring is a very poor feature in my humble opinion. The biggest problem that I had was that it tended not to get me exactly to D. It was usually 1/4 step off or something like that. But, anyway, the Tremol-no looks great for stabilizing that floating trem, adding versatility, tone, etc. I really like the idea. The EVH d-Tuna is just unreliable and tends to disable pulling up on the bar.

My D-Tuna is a huffy little bugger, but does get to D though I did find that it worked best with the Peavey EVH strungs, so it may be a string gauge issue.

Also have a look at the hipshot thingie.

OH yeah, I don't actually use the d-tuna any more as my playing is cr@p enough wothout involving drop D
