Bainzy - Have you been over to
www.projectguitar.com? It's one of the places that I can normally be found (when I should be working). There is an absolute raft of info there for making your own guitar, as well as a good forum with loads of helpful people.
I was building a LP Double Cut but put it away for the time being until I can play better. Figured I'd better learn before my guitar collection grows out of control.
If you're a reliable sort of a bloke, I'll post you a copy of "Build your own electric guitar" by Melvin Hisc--k as long as you let me have it back.
Also, if your after a gold set of hardware, I have a spare set (Tuners, Stop Tail Piece, TOM, Neck Plate, Jack Plate, 4 Gold Knobs and all the screws and posts etc needed) I bought it for my project, but I need a chrome set now (It's all going on my Patrick Eggle instead). Again, just give me a shout.
Depending on the thinckness of that bit of the left it could make good pickup rings or the cavity covers on the back.
BEWARE - Building guitars is seriously addictve.
