on holiday - just brought nostradamus here in Tower Records Dublin. Looking forward to get a chance to listen to it.

I love it (still not embarrassed) - I'll be interested to know what you think...

i listened to the first half - theres tracks i like, and ones i don't. they borrowed alot from painkiller, angel of retribution and even ram it down. there are some really good tracks i think (plus some overblown ones). need to listen more - theres alot there.

Black Crowes - Amorica

Had never really listened to any Back Crowes until buying this. Wasn't sure on the first listen but am now growing to like it. Any suggestions on any other decent Black Crowes albums?
I think I hate being indecisive.

The first 2 albums are among the greatest ever recorded except for Amorica itself
Southern harmony & musical companion - the start of the blues-y country style
Shake your money maker - Blues rock n roll at it's finest!
3 snakes & one charm - trippy & the 'druggy' album, but girl from a pawnshop makes this an essential purchase

Marc Ford was a major part of why they were so good so it might be worth checking out his solo albums
It's About Time
Weary and Wired
these are anything like the crowes but class all the same

And don't forget his pre-Crowes power trio, Burning Tree!

According to Wikipedia they may be working on new material.  :)

Marc did tour with Burning tree about a year ago when he left the crowes for the 2nd time, they've allegedly been writing since then. If anyone wants to hear the album let me know

Currently anything to keep me awake as it's 02:10 and I have been in work since 09:00 yesterday morning (and I have to officially start again @ 09:00)

I wish I was drunk or asleep

I hope you don't need to operate any dangerous heavy machinery, Rob!

Only the car (thats bad enough).

I'm relaxing to Donald Fagin The Nightfly and Lots of Gomez tracks.

Hmmm back to my beer (Bacchus Raspberry beer YUM!)

Donald Fagin  " The Nightfly" -  Great Album.  Perhaps too subtle for some, but to me it's a classic album . Entertains on many levels ...  :D

Bright Eyes - Fevers and Mirrors

then it'll be Lifted or the Story is in the Soil, because I'm in that kind of mood.

...really what happened to Bright Eyes? Used to be FANTASTIC.

Judas Priest - Nostradamus

Yeah, I got it too   .  Absolutely no idea what I think of it on first listen - it does sound great, but I couldn't say if I'm actually going to find any of the songs memorable or not.  There's a lot to take in!

The book, though, is absolutely amazing!  I'm a sucker for a bit of fancy packaging...

A combination of Death's 'Individual Thought Patterns', Devin Townsen's Physicist album, and Paul Gilbert's latest for me. Just got Meshuggah's Obzen in the post so that's going on in a minute.
A-Pig 7s, Miracle Man & Mule, Cold Sweats... Expensive kit and no talent posse.
