Joe Bonamassa - The Ballad of John Henry - it's probably his best album so far, and a further development in his 'own' sound.

but a bit boring, and i heard the same stuff - only better - many times before... by the haunted, to name just one band... i can't understand what's all the hype around LoG for...
i didn't want to flame your post, i was listening yesterday to the same album and this was just my opinion... :)

I like The Haunted too, and not keen on LoG.  I bought Sacrament and couldn't really see what all the fuss was about.  But I'm really not into "heavier" metal in general (the usual problem with the vocals...), so I don't think my opinion counts for much.   :wink:

I'm fairly new here, and I just scanned the last few pages of posts to see what sort of music you're all into.  And I like it (ZZ Top, Purple, et al).  Not often (in fact, far too infrequently) I see Dr Feelgood getting name-checked anywhere  8)

Today, I have mostly been listening to Jesse Malin - Glitter in the Gutter (but only because it was on repeat play in the workshop!).

Is that a new Warrior Soul album?  I was a big fan 20 years ago, but I lost interest when they stopped being political and became a drugs/party band...
