Just took out David Coverdale's Whitesnake's "Restless Heart" (c. 1997). Some of the most tasteful guitar playing by Adrian Vandenberg - a very underrated player IMHO.

Cheers Stephan

Spirit - Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus

Yet another band I first got into many years ago when I was about 17, but only now have I finally got round to buying some of their albums on CD!

Watched Sister Act 2 the other day, shameful I know. It reminded me just how good Lauryn Hill is. Been listening to the Fugees for the past couple of days.
Last I heard about Lauryn Hill was that she was off to prison. Shame really.

Some random busker performing "Brown Eyed Girl" at Oxford Circus tube station.  :|

I loathe the song anyway (as a cacky karaoke/pub singer favourite it ranks right up there with "Mustang Sally"), but this pillock's rendition was even worse than the played-out original.

I'm listening to a lot of J D McPherson's "Signs and Signifiers" album at the present. Really great, stripped back rock and roll/rockabilly sound. Great debut I think.

I've been listening to some deep prog of late; namely the sublime English Electric Part 2 from Big Big Train

Ghost (aka Ghost B.C.) - Infestissumam

Yet another newie!  I was expecting some pretty dark doom metal, but it's actually a strange kind of gothic pop with Satanic lyrics set to rather jolly melodies.  Weird.  But I like it.

Marty Friedman - Dragon's Kiss.
Some very tasty playing in there. The day I am able to play Dragon Mistress (will never happen), will be a very happy day indeed.
