Courtesy of Juan Solo, I've been listening to Clutch (finally!), Earth Rocker.  You're a drug dealer Juan!  yes, the first hit is free, but then you're hooked, and it's going to cost you

After getting around to finally catch up with Fall Out Boy a bit by listening to Folie a Deux I also have been going around to their older stuff as I love to do in the summer. Still totally love it. Well written, nice variety, catchy, often more complex than youŽd expect, etc. Oh, and the lyrics. Amazing.

Lotta people seem to bash them cause they are pop punk or so, but imho they donŽt quite compare as they are more on all levels. My 2 cents ;)

Also starting to learn to play their stuff on both guitar and bass this time around, so that teaches me a lotta new stuff.

FOB stuff is cool, esp their first 3 albums, good guitar playing though not exactly "technical" its catchy and well written as mentioned. "The Take Over The Break's Over" is a great tune!

New TESLA album is on constant repeat right now. They are BACK! Tracked live, sounds killer, and it just 45 minutes of great 70s influenced melodic hard rock w a sprinkling of metal here and there.

AC/DC - Rock or Bust

Pretty underwhelming on first listen, and one track in particular ("Rock the Blues Away") is utterly dire.  But it'll probably grow on me.

Since it is December I am all over Xmas music. From the tastefully done heartwarming yet not boring Sufjan Stevens; to the quirky Bob Dylan; the proggy and cheesy Neal Morse; the really cheesy Lynerd Skynerd; up to the metal Xmas having Alice Cooper singing "Santa Claws".

Xmas music can be horrible, but it can be done so well too, especially if you pick the well written songs and do them properly. Prime example here is to me Sufjan Stevens. Songs like "Sister Winter" are just well crafted in writing and extremly well done in mixing and production.

Then again I just think when it comes to mixing and production Sufjan is one of the greatest minds in a very long time.

Been listening to Lukather's Santamental Christmas album this month, so decided to pull Toto IV out, as well.

Finally got around to getting Nik Kershaw's To Be Frank, and it's utterly, utterly brilliant.

Steel Panther - All You Can Eat, I'm not entirely convinced
Pixies - Cindy Indie, great album!
