I've played a schecter C1, and I must say I didn't like the neck profile, I found the fingerboard edges really sharp, I found it quite uncomfortable, massively microphonic and it really didn't float my boat. I find many of their maple topped guitars look really cheap in the flesh, and I think they're massively overpriced for what they are. The C1 elite is a £300 pound guitar, plain and simple.

Metal guitars without trems are hard to find (but infinitely better due to being able to change tunings without having to dismantle the $%&#er)

I had a thread not so long ago with many links to sites whereby people were helping me choose (http://www.bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5405 )...

The Cort KX1 appeared to get the majority of votes (over the Washburn X50) - cheapest I've found online so far is £400 but that was without really looking hard http://www.guitars.co.uk/acatalog/Cort_KX1.html and the setup policy of this place is good enough that I'd be happy to buy unseen from them

But then in the end I'm still left thinking "$%&# it, I'll save and buy a Legra" :lol:

Umm Bob from Legra PMd me to remind me of his existance, and I figured that I can get a guitar that I know has been built well and has decent wood/components for not loads more money - I can at least be sure of it's heritage as it were :lol:

Well we have a "gentleman's agreement" that I'll take the green one on the site off his hands when I next get paid - I think it works out at about £600ish once he puts the Rebel Yells in for me :P

Brazilian mahogany body, American maple neck and Amazon roseboard fretboard :P Umm, not so sure about the rest of it - I think the tuners are grovers, but I don't know why I'm just guessing...

25" Scale which is unusual (ish) - Seems quite PRS like in shape, styling and scale length...should be a good one :drink: :lol:
